EYE

The Lone Tree

The Lone Tree
He stands
Tall and proud
Wind whips around his bare trunk
Whistling through brittle holes
Blowing insects far away

Snow gathers on his bare branches
Waiting to hit the ground
Only to find it hopeless
That it will never fall
Only melt
To its death

The Lone Tree
Who stands there
Tall and proud
